A huge two-day music festival is coming to Moor Park in Preston.
BBC Radio 2 in the Park has been confirmed as the mystery music event we reported in March.
Announced on air live from the park by the BBC’s Richie Anderson during Wednesday’s Breakfast Show, the music festival is arriving in the city during Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September.

Many of the station’s presenters are expected to decamp to the city for the two-day festival.
No acts have yet been announced but the full line-up is due to be revealed in early June with tickets going on sale shortly after via the Radio 2 website.
Helen Thomas, Head of Radio 2, said: “I’m delighted that this year’s Radio 2 in the Park will take place in Preston.
“Following last year’s epic extravaganza in Leicester, we can’t wait to head north with our fantastic family of Radio 2 presenters, as well as some of the most loved music artists on the planet, to party with the good people of Lancashire.”
The city has a history of hosting BBC live events with BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend being held in 2007 in Moor Park.
Last year’s Radio 2 in the Park was headlined by Tears for Fears and Kylie Minogue, with further performances from Texas, James Blunt, Busted, Rick Astley and Simply Red.
