A clothes-swapping event is being held this Saturday to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The ‘Swishing Party Clothes Swap’ is a free event, being held at the Valley Conferencing, Fourfields in Bamber Bridge.
The idea is a ‘fun and eco-friendly way to refresh your wardrobe’.

Organised by a group of five professional declutters and organisers in Lancashire, people can bring up to five items of women’s clothing or handbags which then in turn, they will receive tokens for.
The sustainable event is also an alternative to buying online from apps such as Vinted and Depop.
At 10:45 the ‘swishing’ will open and participants have an hour to browse the rails and use their tokens to take home a pre-loved item for themselves.

There will also be a lucky dip and competition, with money going to the hospice.
The event will not accept accessories, shoes, underwear, white t-shirts or any damaged goods. People are asked to think ‘Would you give this to a friend?’
Starting at 10am, when people can drop off their clothes, the event will run until noon on Saturday 27 April.
Visitors are encouraged to register via the website but the event is free.
