Part of a building was sent tumbling in a car crash in Ashton-on-Ribble.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Preston Police attended the crash – involving one car – in Water Lane at the junction with Fleetwood Street.

Part of the wall of the New China takeaway was left strewn across the pavement.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Firefighters cordoned off the area to make the scene safe and were there for about 30 minutes.”

No injuries were reported in the crash which took place around 4pm on Tuesday (23 April).

The crash caused significant disruption at the Tulketh Brown and Fylde Road junction with Water Lane.
