An annual beer festival is returning to Preston this early May bank holiday weekend.

Fulwood and Broughton Cricket Club will host the free event for the 11th time at its ground at the junction of Garstang Road and Lightfoot Lane.

Quality local and regional cask ale, cider, and continental lager will be on offer along with an artisan spirits and Prosecco bar.

At the 2023 festival, Fulwood and Broughton CC was awarded Central Lancashire CAMRA Club of the Year.

The 2024 festival will take place on Friday 3 May from 6pm to 11pm, Saturday 4 May from 12pm to 11pm, and Sunday 5 May from 12pm to 10.30pm.

On the Saturday, the men’s first team will play Fleetwood Cricket Club in the Northern League.

Sunday will see Fulwood and Broughton take on both Longridge Cricket Club and Garstang Cricket Club in the Northern Premier T20 competition.

Bar manager Janine Lupton said: “We’re hoping that the sun shines, but whatever the weather does we will have 14 real ales, four ciders and a premium lager in addition to an artisan spirit bar for all to enjoy.

“Last year was a great success and our first ales were sold out by Saturday lunchtime – so come down early to make sure you can test them all!”
