Final preparations are taking place for Preston’s new Aldi store opening later this month.
The supermarket chain has announced Team GB cycling star Josie Knight is to cut the ribbon on the new Preston Docks Aldi.
The Olympic bronze medal winner is to be at the store as it opens at 8am on Thursday 25 April and the first 30 customers into the store will receive a free bag of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Josie said: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store; it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB.”

The Port Way store opens the day after the current Corporation Street Aldi closes.
Store manager Liam Morris said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Port Way. It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Josie Knight join us will make it a morning to remember.”
Around 40 jobs have been created or transferred over to the new Aldi store and the supermarket says they are continuing to recruit via the Aldi jobs website.

The location is the Trident Retail Park, Port Way, Ashton-on-Ribble, PR2 2FU.
