A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a three-vehicle collision on the M65.
Police were called after 7pm last night (March 13) to reports of a collision between the three vehicles on the eastbound carriageway between junction 2 and 3.
A Peugeot 208 reportedly attempted to overtake a HGV before losing control and colliding with the barrier, before then colliding with other vehicles.

One woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a man in his 40s, and his child passenger suffered less serious injuries. Occupants in other vehicles were uninjured.
Sgt Phil Baxendale, of the Specialist Operations Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a woman with some serious injuries, I would appeal for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward and speak to police.”
