A business accountancy office in Preston has made sustainable period products available to all staff.
MHA Moore and Smalley, based on Winckley Square, have made the products available as part of the businesses’ scheme to commit to inclusion and wellbeing in the workplace.
The UK-wide business accountancy and advisory network has rolled out the scheme across its 21 offices, based on the principle that menstruation should not be a barrier to success.

They are partnering with Organic Mondays who work with businesses and schools to make sustainable, quality period products more accessible.
Rachel Dagger, ESG manager, MHA Moore and Smalley, said: “After being gifted sample boxes by Organic Mondays last year as part of International Women’s Day, we began making the company’s products available to employees as an initial trial.
“The response was overwhelming, with other MHA offices around the UK asking for the products to be made available.”

Each office will have a kit with tampons and pads, which can be used whenever staff need them.
The products are also fully biodegradable, made from organic cotton and free from plastic, chemicals and dyes.
Anne Walton, ESG director, MHA said: “We want to make sure people feel comfortable at work and help to remove the anxiety which people can have about periods.
“Ensuring sustainable products are always available demonstrates we care both about our people and our planet.”
