The car involved was a Tesla Y Model which collided with a lamp post.

The crash took place at 8.25am on Friday (1 March) and saw the road closed from the Black Bull pub crossroads up to Lightfoot Lane in both directions for around three-and-a-half hours.

Significant congestion took place on the road network around Fulwood and caused delays back onto the M55.

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage from the crash and ask anyone with information to contact police on 101 quoting log 0241 or email sciu@lancashire.police.uk
