Preston’s Fulwood Guide Group unit is celebrating 100 years of service this April.
The group plans to celebrate by hosting a family fun day on Sunday 14 April at St Cuthberts Church in Lytham Road,.
On the day there will be a bouncy castle, craft stalls, an exotic petting experience and even an ice cream van for all to enjoy.

The event aims to celebrate the achievement with the girls, as well as with the local community, spreading awareness about what being a Preston Girl Guide is all about.
There will also be a picture exhibit, showing the group throughout the 100 years along with some old guide uniforms.
Val Riley, who has been part of St Cuthbert’s Guides for 70 years, said: “I joined Brownies at 7 years old and I never left from that movement.
“I am proud to be a guide leader at 77 years old, which is keeping me young and happy.
“I have been a leader at St Cuthbert’s Fulwood for over 32 years and I am pleased to celebrate 100 years of consistent guiding, giving all girls from the age of 5 a chance to experience new adventures, develop their skills and learn about today’s world.”

As part of the 100-year celebrations, the group also have a festival-themed camp planned in July, with the girls having a chance to try out paddle boarding.
Jessica Gillibrand, Girl Guide Leader of eight years, said: “It’s an incredible achievement.
“To have a youth group in the area which has been going on for so long is incredible.
“It was such an important part for me growing up so I think it is amazing that it’s still running and providing the girls with opportunities.”
