As the city has baked in sunshine for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend how does the weather look for the egg rolling?
Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday (1 April) the tradition dating back more than 150 years sees Prestonians send their eggs tumbling down the Avenham Park slopes.
The recent wet weather has seen the funfair due to take place in the park while egg rolling is on be moved to Moor Park.
There’s definitely a need for wellies, umbrellas and coats based on the current forecast from BBC Weather.

Here’s your guide to what the weather looks like for the Monday in Preston.
7am – 8am – Wind speeds of 12mph and drizzle with a 52 per cent chance of rain
8am – 9am – A 66 per cent chance of rain
9am – 10am – There’s a 75 per cent chance of rain and temperatures are at seven degrees
10am – 11am – The highest chance of rain, 80 per cent and wind speeds of 11mph
11am – 12noon – Temperatures up to eight degrees and 78 per cent chance of rain, first egg roll takes place
12noon – 1pm – The light rain eases slightly
1pm – 2pm – Continues at eight degrees and wind speed drops away
2pm – 3pm – Still light rain due, a 67 per cent chance
3pm – 4pm – Nine degrees and 63 per cent chance of rain
4pm – 5pm – The egg rolling winds up and the rain is still due
Evening – We’re due to see a little glimmer of sunshine around 5pm before the rain clears from around 7pm onwards.
