A number of lambs were killed in dog attacks at a beauty spot to the north of Preston.
Police have been made aware of two separate incidents at Nicky Nook, close to the village of Scorton, to the north of Garstang on February 29.
A warning has been issued by police for dog walkers to keep their pets on leads when walking through farmland in the countryside, citing a high volume of reports of dog attacks on livestock which they say are easily avoidable.

A spokesperson for police said: “We have been made aware of two separate dog attacks on lambs yesterday in Nicky Nook, Scorton whereby lambs have sadly been killed as a result.
“Lambing season is well underway, if you are going out walking in the countryside through farmland please put your dogs on a lead, there is no excuse. We receive too many reports of dog attacks on livestock when it is easily avoidable by being responsible for your dog when walking, keeping them under control.
“For those who already do, thank you!”
