Man rushed to hospital after serious crash in Fulwood

A man has been taken to hospital after a crash in Fulwood, police have confirmed.
Police were called to the scene of a crash on Garstang Road at around 8.40am this morning (March 1). Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
The incident involved a single vehicle, which collided with a lamp post. The driver was taken to hospital as a result after being treated at the scene.

Garstang Road was closed in both directions close to the junction with Lightfoot Lane as a result and there was severe congestion on both Garstang Road and the M55 as a result.
Garstang Road has since reopened in both directions.
