Man charged as police uncover 400 cannabis plants in Lostock Hall

A man has been charged after a cannabis farm containing around 400 plants was discovered in a Lostock Hall cul-de-sac.

South Ribble Police raided the property in Highfield Grove – off Todd Lane North – shortly before midnight on Saturday 23 March.

It followed reports of suspicious activity – officers found the cannabis plants throughout a number of rooms.

They also discovered evidence the electricity supply had been bypassed.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene and Orgit Arapi, 20, of no fixed abode has now been charged with production of a controlled drug and will appear in court during Monday (25 March).
