A free seminar highlighting men’s health issues is being held at the University of Central Lancashire this Wednesday 13 March.
The public engagement seminar will cover issues specifically focusing on prostate cancer.
The event, hosted by the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing in partnership with UCLan’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, will include presentations and an open Q&A session.

Tony Collier, BEM, vice chair and trustee of Tackle Prostate Cancer will be one of the seminar’s speakers.
Tony is an ambassador, volunteer, fundraiser and awareness speaker for Prostate Cancer UK, aiming to help men to know the risks. He will be speaking about his story of going from training for a marathon to becoming terminally ill in 36 hours, discussing the impact on his life.
Other speakers include Professor Ihtesham ur Rehman, who is developing a new non-invasive test for suspected prostate cancer and Dr Ashok Kumar Bhuvanagiri, MBE, who will explore areas around men’s health.

The seminar is free to attend, with no booking required. It will be held at the Harrington Lecture Theatre at UCLan’s campus from 18:30 to 20:30.
