Emergency services on Ringway after woman hit by car

Ringway in Preston city centre was closed after a woman was hit by a car.

Preston Police and emergency services attended the scene around 1pm on Friday (15 March).

A number of bystanders close to the Greyfriars Wetherspoons had gone to help the woman involved, as well as the driver of the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Preston Police confirmed to Blog Preston the woman involved had ‘minor injuries’.

The woman had been crossing the road close to the new-look junction that connects Friargate across Ringway.

Delays through Ringway are now easing after emergency services left the scene.
