Egg rolling – an iconic tradition spanning more than 150 years – is once again scheduled to take place at Avenham and Miller Parks this Easter.
Participants are encouraged to take their own eggs and join the crowd in rolling them down the hills in the official egg rolls scheduled every hour from 11am to 4pm on Easter Monday.
With a blend of workshops, street theatre and live music, the event promises a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.
Councillor Peter Kelly, Cabinet member for Arts and Culture at Preston City Council, said: “Our aim with Egg Rolling is to not only uphold a cherished tradition but also to invigorate Preston with arts, culture, and community spirit. We want to showcase the vibrancy of our city and entice visitors from near and far to partake in this beloved tradition.
“We’re thrilled to host Egg Rolling for its 157th year and provide a platform for artists, performers, and the community to come together in celebration.”
