An egg hunt is taking place to celebrate 20 years of Preston being a Fairtrade City.
15 knitted Easter eggs have been placed at different city centre businesses – all of which support Fairtrade. The eggs will either visible from outside in the window or inside in the counter area, and each egg will display a letter.
Egg hunters should first collect a map/entry form from the Harris Library in the Guild Hall, Oxfam, Lush, Holland and Barrett, Waterstones or Body Shop. With each egg found, the corresponding letter can be noted on the form until the answer is revealed.
Completed forms can be left at the library or posted through the Preston Central Methodist Church letter box. Entrants should then wait to hear if they have won some tasty Fairtrade chocolate.
The egg hunt runs from Saturday 30 March to Saturday 13 April.

What is Fairtrade?
Fairtrade is about better prices, working conditions and fair terms of trade for the people who grow the products we love – coffee, tea, cocoa, bananas. It also ensures high environmental standards, all guaranteed by the Fairtrade Mark. Fairtrade products exploit neither the environment nor the people who produce them and buying them has a direct impact on the lives and well being of producers and their communities.
