Work to repair a burst water main will see a key link road between Fulwood and Grimsargh shut until early next week.
D’urton Lane has been closed since Monday 11 March as United Utilities try to fix a burst water pipe and main.
Initially they said the road would re-open on Wednesday but they have released an update about an extended closure.

A United Utilities spokesperson told Blog Preston: “Our teams are continuing work on site in the Durton Lane area of Preston. It is hoped that the work will be completed early next week. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
D’urton Lane from Eastway is closed in both directions while the work takes place but Haighton Green Lane remains open up and through to Haighton Manor and surrounding properties for access – but only if coming from the Grimsargh direction.
