An Avenham man is set to appear in court following an incident which saw a gun fired in London Road.
Daniel Hopkins, 42, of Guildford Road, Avenham, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Preston Police shut London Road on Tuesday 27 February after a firearm was discharged shortly after 9am near to the junction with Salmon Street.

A later police statement confirmed they believed the gun was firing blanks.
No one was hurt in the incident with the suspected gunman tackled to the ground by two British Transport Police officers who happened to be passing the scene as the gun was fired.
Hopkins will appear at Preston Crown Court on Monday 15 April.
