InstaMeet returned on Saturday (2 March) with an early start at Preston Markets as traders set up for the day.

There were some new and some regular faces, all keen and enthusiastic to capture an unusual or different aspect of market life for sharing to Instagram with #InstameetPreston.

Chris Darley, whose work features in the Fill The Frame exhibition nearby, was one of the Instagrammers in attendance.

Chris said: “I love these events as they encourage a healthy competitive spirit, with photographers sharing ideas and thoughts.

“It was good to have a pre-opening opportunity to capture the setting up and unloading of food and goods, with a nice chat with the lovely local stall holders.

“All the market sellers were happy to talk and be photographed and gave everyone a warm welcome. Special thanks to Cherry Pie Coffee & Co for a much needed warm drink and bacon butty.

“An enjoyable morning, as all Blog Preston Instameets are, looking forward to the next one. Keep up the great work behind the scenes Ed and Kate.”
