A man from Kirkham has flipped a 226kg tyre 10,000 times on Preston’s Flag Market.
It was all to raise money for Jordan Jones, 26, from Kirkham who has a brain tumour, leading to more health problems.
Bill Hodgson began the challenge at 12pm on Friday 22 March and completed the mission at 3pm on Saturday (23 March), an emotional end to the 27 hours – with Jordan and her family lost for words.

The money raised will go towards paying for her Avastin treatment to reduce the swelling on her brain, a procedure which is not available on the NHS.
Jordan’s tumour has resulted in a stroke, loss of sight, mobility problems and seizures. As she continues to fight, the treatment is vital to reduce swelling in her brain and improve her daily life, with each round of treatment costing £3,000.
Jordan was supporting Bill at the Flag Market, she said: “Hopefully if we get the treatment done again, it will shrink the tumour a bit more.
“It’s just amazing what he’s doing.”

Before he began, Bill said: “I’ve had a full English breakfast and I just can’t wait to get started now.”
The challenge started at 12pm on Friday, with Bill already reaching 90 flips within 10 minutes.
His motto was “go crazy, go steady, then pick it up again and get in the zone.”
By 3.45pm Bill had hit 1,000 flips which meant he was ahead of schedule, he managed to squeeze in a well deserved rest and drink.
The hail and rain came down at 9pm when Bill had just hit over 2,000 flips but that did not stop his determination, he changed from his shorts into a tracksuit, warmed up and got his head down.
Despite the wet weather and blisters on his hands, he reached 7,000 flips by the morning.

Sponsoring the challenge were the city’s TikTok stars, The Spud Brothers who stayed open until the end, also donating their profits to the cause.
Jacob Nelson, one of the brothers said: “It’s for a good cause, we’re trying to bring the whole of Preston down as a community.
“Hopefully we can raise as much money as we can for Jordan and she can get her treatment.”
Throughout the day there were special guest appearances from Preston North End’s, Alan Browne and Jordan Edwards, another TikTok star with over 300,000 followers – donating the profits from selling his ice cream to Jordan’s treatment too.
The hardworking team stayed awake all night in support of Bill, selling spuds until they ran out at around 4:30am.
Jacob, Harley and Harvey did not stop working, with people queuing for over 2 and a half hours for jacket potatoes and placing their orders in batches.
