The new Aldi store at the Preston Docks is set to open by the end of spring, it has been revealed.
It has been confirmed that the new store will expected to open on Thursday, April 25 2024, while the Corporation Street Retail Park shop will close its doors.
A spokesperson for Aldi told Blog Preston that the new Port Way store will create up to 40 new jobs for local people.

They said: “Construction for our new Preston Docks store is progressing well as we move towards opening on Thursday 25th April.
“This will create up to 40 jobs for the community and enable local people to shop and save closer to home.”
Existing staff will be transferred from the Corporation Street shop and additional jobs will be created as a result of the move.
A spokesperson for Aldi told Blog Preston that the Corporation Street store will close one night before the opening of the new store at Port Way, while confirming that those employed would be transferred.
The new store is replacing the demolished Trident Centre office building.
Plans were approved that will see Aldi occupy one of two new retail spaces at the site while the other unit is expected to be filled by another discounted retailer.
