One person in hospital after fire crews spend two-and-a-half hours tackling Penwortham fire

One person was taken to hospital after firefighters spent two and a half hours tackling a fire at an outbuilding in Penwortham.

Three fire crews were sent from Preston and Penwortham by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service during Friday (16 February) just after 5pm.

One person was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service after four firefighters used breathing apparatus while battling the fire.

The fire took place at a property in Danesway off Manor Lane in Penwortham.
