Man taken to hospital after incident on Avenham Park

A man was taken to hospital after an incident on Avenham Park, police have confirmed.

Police were called to a concern for welfare incident on the park at around 2.50pm yesterday afternoon (February 12).

A man in his 30s was found and taken to hospital. He is in a serious but stable condition.

A spokesperson for police said: “We were called to Avenham Park at around 2:50pm yesterday afternoon (Mon 12th February) following a concern for welfare.

“Officers attended and found that a man in his 30’s had fallen from a bridge. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.”
