London Road has now reopened after shots were fired in Preston.
Reports of a firearms discharge caused road closures including Cranborne Street, London Road and Adelaide Street.
Preston PoliceĀ asked residents to avoid the area where possible. Bus routes were disrupted as a result. Blog Preston was able to verify that the road had reopened shortly after 1pm.

The firearms discharge took place around 9am on Tuesday (27 February).
A police spokesperson said: āA man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and is current in custody.
āNo one is thought to have been injured as a result of the firearms discharged and it is being treated as an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public.ā
