Ingol Community Primary School has received a donation of five jigsaws, designed by a house builder in Cottam.
The educational jigsaws were designed by Barrett Developments, the parent company of David Wilson Homes which has a development on Calder Rise on Cottam Road.
They are based on one of the company’s sustainable homes, Zed House, which tests carbon-zero build methods and installations including an air source heat pump, infrared panels and heated skirting boards.

The jigsaw is interactive and showcases the House’s features, with the images conveying how the home is contributing towards a more sustainable future.
James Moss, deputy headteacher at the school said: “Our children are interested in the local developments and they are pleased that the buildings have been constructed in an environmentally friendly style.”
“The jigsaws have proved to be a fun way of developing understanding and promoting discussion of environmental sustainability.”

The company hopes the jigsaws might inspire some of the pupils to help in their efforts for a greener future when they grow up.
