A Grimsargh house fire caused Preston Road to be closed earlier today (Monday 26 February).
Three fire engines from Longridge, Hyndburn and Penwortham were called to the blaze in the roof of the house, situated between Lindale Avenue and Elston Lane.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The road was closed while the aerial ladder platform was being used, but had reopened by 3.30pm.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
