The awards were hosted at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham and educators from all over the UK were invited to the event to mark the occasion.
Arron Jablonski, Chef at Busy Bees Preston Hospital, said: “I’m so proud to have won Chef of the Year, I love the work we do at Busy Bees, and it’s an amazing feeling to be recognised nationally.
“I love working for Busy Bees because it’s such a rewarding career – It’s a real pleasure watching the children eat and enjoy the meals I cook on-site, and hopefully instilling a love of a variety of food from a young age is really important to me. Getting to work with children is such a joy and I am so grateful that I am able to interact with them on a daily basis.
“I’d like to thank all the team and children at Preston Hospital for making Busy Bees such a special place to work.”

More than 1,200 nominations were received for the awards and nine awards were handed out on the evening.
Matt Labaki, Operations Director at Busy Bees, who judged the award, said: “Arron is more than a Chef, he is a leader, a team member, a coach, a motivator, and role model to both his team members and children.
“Working tirelessly, whether he’s in the kitchen cooking for his busy centre or supporting in the rooms, Arron embodies what an all-round chef should be, the heart and soul of the centre.”
