A man has been arrested after an incident which left an avid runner with serious injuries.
Joshua Bello is in Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a van on Friday (January 19). His mother Lisa told Blog Preston that Joshua (pictured) was training to run the Paris marathon later this year.
Lancashire Constabulary arrested a 22-year-old man on Sunday (January 21) on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to stop. The man has been bailed pending further investigations.
A spokesperson for police said: “We were called at 1.09pm on Friday, January 19th to Langley Lane, Goosnargh, to a report of a road traffic collision.
“Our officers attended and found that a van had been in collision with a pedestrian who was jogging.
“The jogger, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with neck and leg injuries.
“A 22-year-old man was arrested on Sunday (21st January) on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to stop. He has since been released on bail pending further investigations.”
