Engineers from United Utilities are on the scene of a burst pipe in Fishergate Hill.
The water firm was called out during Tuesday (23 January) after a loss of water pressure in surrounding properties.
A spokesperson for United Utilities confirmed to Blog Preston the pipe is not the same as the one which burst back in November causing a road closure for nearly three weeks.

It is a smaller pipe further up Fishergate Hill and engineers are expected to complete repairs during Tuesday evening.
The road remains open at this stage and no properties are understood to be without water supply.
