A road in Penwortham is closed this evening after a tree fell into the road.
Hill Road South is closed around the junction of Stricklands Lane, outside Middleforth Church of England Primary School, due to the tree.
Police have said that they are awaiting its removal. The incident was reported by them at 4.28pm today (January 31).

A spokesperson for police said: “Please be aware that we are currently on scene for a road closure on Hill Road South outside Middleforth C Of E Primary School. This is due to a fallen tree blocking the road.
“We are awaiting it’s removal and the road will be reopened as soon as possible.”
