Preston and Lancashire sees fresh wind weather warning issued for Tuesday evening

A new weather warning has been issued for strong winds throughout Tuesday (23 January) evening.

The Met Office has put a yellow weather warning, their lowest level alert, in place from 4pm on Tuesday through to 12noon on Wednesday (24 January).

It comes on top of the Storm Isha warning which is in place for Sunday evening through to Monday morning.

The Tuesday warning states: “Strong winds are expected from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning with disruption to travel and utilities possible.

“There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings.”

Gusts of up to 50mph are expected in Preston and the surrounding areas.
