A body has been found in the search for a missing man who had links to Preston, police have confirmed.
Lancashire Constabulary had been appealing searching for Thomas Green, who was last seen in Blackburn on January 6.
Today (January 25), underwater search officers recovered a body in the canal off Bolton Road in Blackburn. Police said the body has not been formally identified but they believe it to be Thomas Green and have informed his family.

A spokesperson for police said: “Police searching for missing Thomas Green have sadly found a body.
“The body was found earlier today (Thursday, Jan 25) in the canal off Bolton Road in Blackburn by underwater search officers.
“While the body has yet to be formally identified at this stage we believe it to be Thomas, 37, who went missing earlier this month.
“His family have been informed of the development and our thoughts are with them at this time.”
