British Transport Police have launched an appeal to find a woman reportedly connected with a sexual assault which took place on a train in Preston.
The police have shared a post, which includes a photo of the woman, asking for more information.
They said they have launched an investigation into a sexual assault in Preston which took place on a train from Lancaster to London Euston.

The incident happened at 11.13am on Tuesday 19 December at Preston railway station.
As the victim was walking through the coach to find a seat, they were sexually assaulted.
The post says: “Recognise this woman? Officers believe she may have information that could help their investigation into a sexual assault in Preston on a train from Lancaster to London Euston. Text 61016, quoting ref 212 of 19/12/2023.”
Detectives would like to speak to the woman in the image as they believe she may have information that could help their investigation.
