A Preston supermarket will close its doors in the coming months ahead of the opening of a new store.
Aldi will open its new store at Port Way in Preston with the one at Corporation Street Retail Park closing. Existing staff will be transferred and additional jobs will be created as a result of the move.
A spokesperson for Aldi told Blog Preston that the Corporation Street store will close in Spring 2024, one night before the opening of the new store at Port Way, while confirming that those employed would be transferred.

The new store at Port Way comes in place of a demolished Trident Centre office building. Plans were approved that will see Aldi occupy one of two new retail spaces at the site.
The other unit is expected to be filled by another discounted retailer.
