A retired farmer from Longridge has hosted a coffee morning, every year for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, raising over £10,000 in total.
Janet Wallbank has raised money for the charity since 2015, with her most recent bake sale in Longridge Civic Hall raising £1,720.
Janet became a supporter of Rosemere through her daughter-in-law, who is a nurse in the Cancer Centre’s Ribblesdale Ward.

As well as selling her homemade cakes, Janet also raffled off a bird table, made by her son, Brian and auctioned a wooden bench, made by her other son, Robert.
Janet now stands at home baking stall on Longridge Market where she organises raffles and also sells bric-a-brac.
Her coffee mornings are said to be “hugely popular and always highly requested”.
