House fire tackled for four hours off New Hall Lane

Firefighters spent Sunday morning putting out a fire at a house just off New Hall Lane.


Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a mid-terraced property in the St Matthews area just after 7am on Sunday (14 January).

Three fire crews from Preston and Penwortham tackled the house fire in Derby Square.

Four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a lighting rig were used to bring the fire under control.


Firefighters were on the scene for around four hours.
