15-year-old Preston boy appears in court on drug charges

A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with dealing Class A drugs.

The teenager was arrested following a police chase in Preston on Monday 15 January.

Around 60 wraps of what is believed to be Class A drugs and a meat cleaver were discarded.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon.

He appeared in court on Tuesday 16 January and is due to appear again on Tuesday (23 January).

Police have urged anyone with concerns about drug dealing in their area to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers can be contact anonymously by calling 0800555111.
