Pensioners in hospital after being struck by a car in Whittle-le-Woods

Two pensioners are in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Whittle-le-Woods.

The crash took place at 4.38pm on Wednesday (6 December) at the junction of Shaw Hill Drive with the A6 (Preston Road).

A Kia Picanto driver collided with two pedestrians.

The first was a man in his 80s who has serious bhead injuries and is in a critical condition at hospital.

A second pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, also suffered injuries.
