A New Longton church is transforming into Narnia.

From Tuesday (19 December), eight scenes from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis will be displayed at All Saints Church in Station Road.

180 school children are set to visit throughout Wednesday and Thursday, and the church will be open each evening from 4pm to 7pm for the public to visit.

On Friday, the grand finale – Narnia’s Winter Wonderland – will take place from 3.30pm to 8pm.

People are invited to visit the rooms and meet characters from the book including Lucy, Susan, Peter and Edmund.

There will also be an outdoor Christmas market, with a bar and hot food.

There’s no need to book and donations are welcomed.

PA to the vicar of New Longton, Laura Kochanski, said: “We are really excited about this event and would love to see lots of people there!”
