Police have launched an investigation after a car crashed into Preston Market Hall.

The incident happened at the Earl Street entrance at around 10.45pm yesterday (Saturday 23 December).

Nobody was hurt in the crash, and the structure of the market has been passed as safe.

The Market was open today and reopens again on Wednesday 27 December.

A spokesperson for Preston Markets said: “The police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and are treating it as a criminal offence.

“Thank you to our loyal customers who showed up today and in the run up to Christmas, to support their local traders.”
