The Birley’s 2024 Preston Artist Calendar is raising funds for environmental charity and social enterprise Let’s Grow Preston.
Each month of the calendar showcases artwork by one of 12 artists, illustrators and designers who live, work or study in Preston, with a focus on the theme of nature. Some are members of The Birley studios, others are independent creatives, and all have a focus on drawing or graphic design in their practice.
Printed at T Snapes, the calendar features work from Nick Rhodes, Benedict Rutherford, Bonnie Craig, Jessica Dent, Stephanie Fletcher, Katie Drew, Beata Podstawa, Gavin Renshaw, Simon Plum, Kathryn Poole, Rita Robson and Chris Allen.
Let’s Grow Preston focuses on enhancing both physical and mental wellbeing through horticultural volunteering, aiming to develop and enhance green spaces in Preston.
The charity strives to strengthen communities and empower individuals through initiatives like community gardens, enhancements to woodland and park spaces, education in food cultivation, and offering opportunities for volunteering and horticultural training.
