A car explosion in Longridge saw additional fire crews in the town during Monday evening.

A car had exploded in the new build estate and spread to two other vehicles and a house.

The fire took place around 10.46pm on Monday (7 November).
No one was hurt in the fire and crews from Chorley and South Shore were on site for nearly three hours dealing with the fire.
There continues to be a major fire service presence in Longridge due to the ongoing fire at the Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses premises on the Shay Lane industrial estate.
