The Watermills over-60s development has officially opened in Broughton.
The development is made up of 52 one and two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent, meaning they are priced at 80% of local market rents.
They have been on the site of the former Golden Ball pub and restaurant has two blocks in total. Those who are wanting to down-size and want to live near those of a similar age may want to move to the new complex.

There is a shared lounge for those who live there to enjoy time with friends as well as landscaped outdoor spaces. Transport links are available from the accommodation.
Chief Executive, Rob Wakefield said: “The Watermills is an exciting addition to the local area, offering
hi-spec accommodation in a very desirable area. The quality in terms of the build and finish really will provide a great environment for people over 60 to have a wonderful home.”
Mrs Williams, who is a new tenant, added: “It’s marvelous. The walk-in shower and wet-room mean I can have the bathroom to myself for the first time in a long time. We’ll be all settled in time for Christmas, and will enjoy living close to my son.”
