“This year The Foxton Centre is year 11’s designated charity,” said Miss Porter, Head of Year 11. “Already our parents, carers, pupils and staff have been incredibly generous and donated to our fundraiser for the charity. We’ve exceeded our target and we hope to raise even more.
“Any donations will make a meaningful difference in our mission to assist The Foxton Centre in their work within our community.”

Last month, Miss Porter and some of the school’s senior prefects took food donations from the school’s Harvest collection to the charity. Samuel Gregson from The Foxton Centre explained the different types of work and support that the charity carries out across Preston.
Samuel also joined year 11 for an assembly and gave the whole year group an insight into the valuable work that The Foxton Centre does.

The Foxton Centre works with Preston’s most vulnerable residents – providing a wide range of services. This year, the Big PNE Sleep Out’s goal is to raise £50k for The Foxton Day Centre, based on Fox Street, to provide food, warmth and activities for its users.
Taking place overnight on Friday 17 November 2023, participants will spend the night on the pitch of Preston North End’s Deepdale stadium.
