First phase of mapping the heartbeat of Preston complete

The first phase of the YourMap project is complete.
AdvertisementYourMap is collating key community assets in an interactive map of Preston for the people of the city to contribute to and use.

Charity Brookfield Spaceplace and cooperative digital platform NewsSocial have collaborated together on the work so far.
A YourMap video on YouTube shows what has been achieved so far.
UCLan Project Coordinator Alina Belousova said: “We believe this is an essential work in terms of understanding local assets, and how they can be leveraged for community wellbeing.
“We are starting the second phase of our project, during which we’re looking to upgrade our website, develop a mobile app and solicit even more community support.”
