Two men arrested after overnight raid in Preston

Two men have been arrested after an overnight break-in at an address in Preston.

Police were called to a commercial property on Aqueduct Street at around 2am this morning (October 17) after reports of a burglary. A cash box containing a ‘small amount’ of money had reportedly been stolen.

Officers searched the area and arrested two men, aged 51 and 40, nearby. They are being questioned on suspicion of burglary.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We have two men in custody following a burglary at a commercial property in Preston overnight.

“We were called at around 2am this morning to reports of a burglary within a premises in Aqueduct Street. A cash box containing a small amount of money was stolen.

“Officers attended and searched the area, arresting two men nearby. A 51-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, both from Preston are both being questioned on suspicion of Burglary.”
