M6 northbound at Preston to be closed at J32-J33 on Saturday night

A northbound closure of the M6 will be in force on Saturday night as bridge works continue.

The work at Stewarts Wood Bridge means the motorway is shut northbound from Junction 32 (Broughton) to Junction 33 (Garstang).

The closure is from 8pm to 6am on Saturday (14 October) into Sunday.

Diversions are via the A6 up through Garstang to re-join the motorway at Junction 33 northbound.

There is no closure on the southbound side of the M6.

Work on repairs to waterproofing the bridges and other repairs to the bridges on the section of the motorway between Preston and Garstang have seen two lanes closed since early September.

All M6 work on the stretch between Preston and Garstang is due to be complete by the end of October.
