Two-year-old boy injured after being hit by bus in Fulwood

A two-year-old boy was left injured after being hit by a bus in Fulwood.

The crash happened in Sharoe Green Lane at around 1pm today (Wednesday 6 September).

North West Ambulance Service said the child was airlifted to hospital after being treated at the scene.

Lancashire Police told the BBC that the boy’s injuries were not thought to be serious.

The stretch of Sharoe Green Lane between Sherwood Way and St Vincents Road was closed for almost three hours.
