Preston secondary school open days for 2023

School admissions have opened for secondary school places in Preston and Lancashire.

The deadline for applications is 31 October and applications are via the Lancashire County Council website.

Here’s the open days we could find taking place for high schools, academies and grammar/independent schools. If we’ve missed any, let us know on and we will add the details.

St Cecilia’s Roman Catholic High School, Longridge. Thursday 14 September from 5pm to 7.30pm with headteacher talks at 6pm and 6.30pm.

Broughton High School. Monday 18 September at 9.30am as pupils show people round the school and open evening is Thursday 14 September from 6pm to 9pm, with headteacher’s address at 6.15pm, 7.15pm and 8.15pm.

Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Fulwood. Wednesday 20 September from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Moor Park High School and Sixth Form. Thursday 21 September from 6pm-7.30pm for a tour and then closing speech at 7.30pm from headteacher.

Penwortham Priory Academy. Thursday 21 September from 4pm to 8pm, principal’s speech at 5pm and 6pm.

Longridge High School. Thursday 21 September from 6pm to 8.30pm. And then an open morning on Tuesday 3 October at 9.30am.

Fulwood Academy. Wednesday 27 September, evening.

Brownedge St Mary’s Catholic High School, Bamber Bridge. Wednesday 27 September from 5.30pm. Booking for a place on the opening evening is via the school website from 5pm on Friday 15 September.

Eden School For Boys, Fishwick. Thursday 28 September from 5pm to 8pm.

Lostock Hall Academy. Thursday 28 September. Sessions at 4.30pm, 5.15pm and 6pm. Booking is via Eventbrite.

Ashton Community Science College. Thursday 28 September from 6pm to 9pm.

Christ The King Catholic High School, Frenchwood. Thursday 28 September, 3.30pm-6pm.

Kirkham Grammar School. Sunday 1 October from 1.30pm to 4pm. Headteacher’s address takes place at 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Our Lady’s Catholic High School, Fulwood. Open evening is on Thursday 5 October from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, Fulwood. Thursday 5 October from 4pm to 7pm, booking is requested via the school website.

Penwortham Girls’ High School. Thursday 5 October with sessions from 5pm to 6.30pm and then 6.30pm to 8pm. You need to register via Eventbrite. Headteacher speech at 5.10pm, 6.10pm and then 6.40pm and 7.40pm.

Hutton Church of England Grammar School. Thursday 5 October, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Headteacher talks at 5.45pm, 6.45pm and 7.45pm.

Walton-le-Dale High School. Thursday 5 October. Register via Eventbrite with entry at 5.30pm, 6pm, 6.30pm and 7pm.

Preston Muslim Girls High School, Deepdale. Saturday 7 October from 10am to 2pm. Headteachers presentation at 12noon.

Stonyhurst College, Hurst Green. Saturday 14 October from 9am to 1pm.
